Published by Mike under Web Video

Before this video, GoDaddy was just another domain and hosting company trying to make it big. No longer is this a worry as they are the most recognized name in the business. It’s amazing what a little risk and creativity can do for a company. You can’t be afraid to take a chance every now and then. The question is, can they ever top this one?

Do you Utilize Online Videos for Your Website? Maybe You Should!

Published by Andy under Web Video

According to a Burst Media survey, 72% of online consumers have utilized online videos while surfing the Internet. The shocker statistic of the day is that 58% of people aged 65+ have viewed, and continually, view videos online. Whoever says that there is still a gigantic generational gap with Internet usage needs to think again. People of all ages are catching up to different web technologies. The results of this survey should make you consider adding video features to your website, no matter what kind of product you are offering. Within several years it is probable that online video will not be an added feature offered by select sites…it will most likely be an Internet-wide standard.

Another suprising statistic from that survey is that 50% of viewers stop watching a streaming video, once they realize there is an online advertisement embedded. I can say that I am guilty of contributing to this statistic. There is nothing more annoying then wanting to see a story and having to sit through a brutally long advertisement. Take into account if you are planning to use videos on your website for marketing purposes. Deal without the extra advertising revenue and cut out the web commercials. You will benefit from more overal views in the end.
